Denver ballot measures

General election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

This guide lists the 21 ballot measures on City and County of Denver ballots: 5 city measures, 2 school and special district measures, and 14 statewide measures. Not every measure appears on every ballot. District measures appear only for voters inside that district.

How to read this

UNRESOLVED: Proposition NN: official descriptions differ

The Colorado Secretary of State’s measures page lists Proposition NN (Senate Bill 26-135, “State Public K-12 Education Funding”) with this ballot question: “Shall state investment in K-12 public education increase two percent each year for the next ten years, with investments used to increase teacher pay, improve teacher retention, lower class sizes, and increase access to career and technical courses, without raising taxes but instead funded by raising the annual limit on state fiscal year spending only by the amount spent on public K-12 education as a voter-approved revenue change, and requiring an annual publicly released, independent audit to show how the new investments are spent?” The Blue Book titles it “Proposition NN: Keep and Spend Money for Education and Other Purposes,” and its “yes” vote description reads: “allows the state to keep some or all of the revenue that otherwise would be refunded to taxpayers under TABOR.” This guide has not reconciled the two. The wording on the final printed ballot governs.

UNRESOLVED: Amendment 87: vote threshold as printed

Amendment 87 proposes amending the Colorado Constitution. The Blue Book prints “Passes with a majority vote” for Amendment 87, while the other constitutional amendments on this ballot (81–86) are printed as requiring 55 percent. The SOS measures page entry for Amendment 87 does not state a threshold. This guide reports the threshold as printed and has not resolved the difference.
